Onyx

Onyx is a sedimentary rock that is formed from the precipitation of calcium carbonate in underground spaces such as grottos or caverns.

It is a translucent material with veins of varying thickness and colour. Mostly used for interiors, onyx has always been associated with decoration for its translucent and multicoloured aspect.
